Review for Salvaged by Jay Crownover

When it comes to Jay Crownover and her books, Rule was always King for me. Zeb gave him a tough fight but Rule still came out on top. Then Wheeler came along and Rule had to finally take second place.

"Get yourself out of the ditch, Wheeler. There's nothing good down there and all you'll end up doing is spinning your wheels."

Poppy has always tried to be the good girl but all it has done is bring her pain. Wheeler thought he had his whole life figured out until it all broke apart in his hands.

He doesn't know what it is about Poppy Cruz but Hudson Wheel is drawn to her even when he had no right be looking. The complications in his life keep coming and it is something that he is not sure that Poppy would want or could handle with him. Though, Poppy has spent her whole life doing what would please others. Now it is her turn to do what she wants and makes her happy.

Both Poppy and Wheeler have a kindness that is just them. You can feel it as you read in both characters. Their story is an emotional one and if you have read the previous books from Jay, you know what Poppy's past consisted of. When you find that piece that is missing from you soul, there is no way you can ignore it. If you have loved the previous Saint's of Denver, you will love Salvaged MORE. Wheeler is the embodiment of all the guys in one and it will pull you in till you turn the last page.

I am a sucker for a Scot.

Download now for .99 or FREE on KU⇇

“Really lassie?” I breathed, letting my lips brush her hair before stepping in front of her... “You really be wantin’ me acting professional ‘round you?”

Ewan Boyd and the rest of Wrecked entered in a mess when their lead singer found himself in a whole lot of hot water.  Now himself and his two band mates are trying to find their way to what will be next for them.

Cecelia had a front row seat to what was the downfall of Wrecked and now she is trying to make her own way in the industry without the help of famous father, a second time around.  The first trail of making it on her own was completely derailed by Ewan and now she finds herself face to face with him and the band again.

Cecelia is very driven in getting what she wants on her terms and without the help that her last name would give her.  She is not looking for a handout or a an automatic pass go and collect $200. Ewan is just as driven but at the same time at a loss for what he really wants.  Then it becomes perfectly clear when Celia inadvertently comes back into their lives, what he really wants is her.

It is almost I love Cecelia and her drive but I am sucker for a Scot and those brogue accents.  So Ewan already had a lot of leverage on his side when I opened the first page.  Their story is lighthearted and with a lot of quirk from Ewan and his band.  The story has a steady flow that will leave you wanting more by the end, bonus epilogue please? His band mates, Niall and Jules, have a lot of wisecracks that will make you giggle.  The stories of the rest of the band I am sure will be quite interesting.

This is the first book in a new Rockstar series from Vivian Lux.

Meet Nash and Rowan...

↬Releasing June 28!↫

Nash has known a lot of heartache in his life.  He has loved and lost.  Now with his mother sick, his heart threatens to break yet again.  Rowan has come to care greatly for Nash’s mother Meave as her caregiver, just as if she was her own mother. Like Nash though, Rowan knows a lot about be broken but she harbors those secrets closely.

Nash has a sarcastic but caring vibe and I knew I would love him from the beginning of Grant's book so I was excited to finally get his story.  You get very emotionally involved with what he is feeling.  Rowan has that same caring personality and her and Nash flow so well together.

There is so many ups and downs throughout their whole story and secrets, so many secrets!  I was honestly looking at the progress on my kindle the whole time; I was not ready for it to end.  It was a constant feeling of, “Okay, they are fine now.”, and then releasing “No, they aren’t”.  This is truly a rollercoaster ride that will leave you realizing that you just completely left reality for the duration of the book.  RB literally pulls you into the world of Meltdown and doesn’t let go till days after you have finished.

Then days later you are still saying, “Why? Chaz…”  I am assuming that the Meltdown Drummer is up next and his ride is going to be even wilder than Grant or Nash.

If you love Rockstars, you will love this book. If you love just an amazing story, you will love this book. I guess what I am saying is just go pre-order the book. You won't be disappointed.

You will need to read the first book, Fractured Beat, to fully understand Broken Lyric.
