About SHELTER:

His life is chaos and confusion. It’s a storm of uncertainty and raging emotion.

Sutton Warner is a mess. Everything in his life feels like it’s unraveling.

He’s let a lot of people down lately, including his daughter. Sutton always promised his little girl he would never disappoint her and that he would always be there when she needed him. Until he wasn’t.

The truth is, he’s used to disappointing the women in his life. First was his mother who couldn’t find a reason to stick around when he was growing up. Then there’s his ex. The woman who takes unbridled delight in making his life incredibly complicated. Luckily, his daughter is still young enough to believe her old man is some kind of hero. But, he knows the day is coming when she realizes the truth, that he’s just a man with some serious flaws and a list of ever-growing weaknesses.

Finally, there’s the woman he’s desperately trying to forget with every shot tossed back and each pill popped.

He more than disappointed Emrys…he almost got her killed.

Her love is steady and sure. It’s a shelter shaped by conviction and silent assurance.

Emrys Santos is lost. Everything in her life feels pointless and futile.

She’s been busy running away from her feelings and all the people who love her the most—including her best friend, the one person who knows exactly what she’s been through. They promised to always stick together and to lean on one another. It was a promise Em had to break so she could lick her wounds and figure out her next move. For once, there is no easy way out of the tangled web of emotions she’s caught up in, and right now, she recognizes that all roads lead back to Wyoming…and back to Sutton.

The man she nearly got killed.

Shelter is a standalone novel, the second book in the Getaway series, which features the hardheaded and brokenhearted Warner brothers and the women who dare to love them. These boys are very good at putting the wild in wilderness.

EXCERPT: I’d been fooled once by the promise of quiet nights and serene days in the sunshine. I believed the brochure when it said I could leave my worries at home and escape to a simpler, quieter kind of life. I let myself be lured in by the picturesque landscape and stunning mountains. I foolishly fell prey to the temptation of leaving my current set of troubles behind in San Francisco while I hid away in the middle-of-nowhere Wyoming. I now knew firsthand the glossy brochure that brought me to Wyoming the first time was nothing more than a bunch of pretty, packaged lies. I knew the bar brawl erupting in front of me was hardly the worst thing that could happen here. In fact, the level of bloodshed and violence was child’s play compared to what I’d witnessed the last time I’d stepped foot in this small, quaint town. Well, I hadn’t really been in Sheridan last time I was here. I’d spent most of my time in the backwoods that surrounded the Warner brothers’ ranch, which was still a good forty-five minutes outside of this tiny town. The ranch was where I was currently trying to get to so I could see my best friend. When I left Wyoming, I told myself I would never come back. Ever. I told myself there was nothing here for me but bad memories and heartache. I was a pro at lying to myself, at telling myself exactly what I needed to hear to justify my actions. I could convince myself of anything, like it was okay that my last boyfriend stole my grandmother’s silver when I kicked him out because he needed it more than I did. I had no problem believing that pulling Leo out of the city was the only way to heal her broken heart even though she didn’t want to go. It was easier to distract her than it was to watch her wallow. I persuaded myself into believing what I needed to heal was space and solitude. I held onto that until time passed and I was still a mess. I was sick of my own company and of hiding from everything I was feeling. I was the one who always went out of my way to fix everyone else around me, it wasn’t exactly a shock to learn I didn’t have the skills to repair myself. I spent my days helping others focus on their goals, on doing better and achieving more, so I didn’t have to think about the lack of any ambition of my own. I turned thirty at the end of the year and I was still trying to figure out what and who I wanted to be when I grew up. I’d been aimless for a long time; the only direction in my life come from the fact I knew all the way down to my bones that I had to go back to Wyoming and face off with Sutton Warner.

πŸ”πŸŽBlog Review for ShelterπŸŽπŸ”

Sutton is the middle brother of the Warners and has never really found his place in life.  He has tried and thought he had grasped what his brothers hadn’t only to be disappointed.  That is why  he meets the beautiful and lively Emrys.  He refuses to bring her down so after all they went through, he sends her away.

Emrys knows that Sutton is far from perfect and that his demons are greater than anyone can imagine but that doesn’t deter her from knowing he is what she wants.  There is a lot of pain and heartbreak in both Sutton and Em.  Reading the first book, you understand just how awful what they went through together was.  Em lost herself a little afterwards but she slowly healed.  Sutton turned another direction only to release more demons.

I knew from book one that Sutton’s story was going to be emotional but I didn’t know how much.  Sutton Warner is different from his brothers and not only in looks.  I got the feeling that he just needs someone to care and love him, solely.  He is like a lost puppy in a way and one I would gladly take home.  There is something enduring about the broken Sutton and how Em never once trys to change him or his ways.  I love, love the fact that she simply goes with the flow of things when it comes to Sutton.  She does everything with him in mind but she talks to him rather than the usual lecture that his brothers give him.

Shelter is like a bull ride of emotions and it does last more than 8 seconds.  It takes your from broken, hopeful, happy, and worried for the characters.  There is something for everyone for these characters and you won’t want to stop once you get started, Sutton and Em pull you in completely. I can’t wait for Lane’s story.  If the ending of Shelter says anything, it is going to be explosive.

Every once in a while, you need to get away from it all.

I was a woman on the edge, shaken and shattered after a breakup that felt like it tore my entire world apart.
My best friend, sick of watching me drown in misery and melancholy, harassed me until I agreed to go with her on a week-long wilderness retreat.

She promised days spent bonding and getting in touch with our inner bad-asses. It was supposed to be all about the two of us roughing it and making do with the bare minimum. She assured me we were going to be pushed to our limits in ways that were unimaginable. Neither one of us could have ever guessed just how right she was.

Nowhere in the glossy brochure did it say anything about the fact I was going to have to battle the insufferable but deliciously rugged and sexy trail guide instead of the elements. The brochure also forgot to mention the part that warned when you left civilization behind, there was no place to pack your inhibitions and fears.

I was told that I would be facing a week where the only thing I should expect was the unexpected. However, no one mentioned that I was going to have to fight for my life…and my heart as soon as I ventured into the unknown.

I was a pro at hiding from my feelings but when it came time to face a real threat, one that could change everything, I learned I was more of a no surrender, no retreat kind of girl.

Retreat is a standalone novel, the first in the Getaway series which centers on the hardheaded and brokenhearted Warner brothers and the women that dare to love them.
These boys are very good at putting the wild in wilderness.

Dee Garcia: Dee Garcia is a voracious fan of romance novels and a long time lover of the written word. Her mission is to craft unique, compelling stories that will give her readers a place to briefly escape the trials and tribulations of everyday reality. With headstrong heroine's who don't need a man to stand on their own two feet, Dee hopes to leave her mark in the Indie world, one plot twist at a time.

Alice La Roux: Alice La Roux is a dirty minded, mouthy author who is still trying to find her genre while dabbling in erotica, fantasy and horror. She’s a bookworm who reads anything and everything and is addicted to social media. Find her on Twitter @AliLaRoux or see random pictures of her dogs and food over on Instagram @AliceLaRoux. Feel free to add her on Facebook, she doesn’t bite…much.

Shelley Springfield: Alice La Roux is a dirty minded, mouthy author who is still trying to find her genre while dabbling in erotica, fantasy and horror. She’s a bookworm who reads anything and everything and is addicted to social media. Find her on Twitter @AliLaRoux or see random pictures of her dogs and food over on Instagram @AliceLaRoux. Feel free to add her on Facebook, she doesn’t bite…much.

Marie Skye: Marie Skye is your average career driven woman by day, and a hidden lover of all things dirty by night. Or, as she likes to say, professional by day; author whore by night.

If it's dark, and full of inappropriate material. She's attracted to it. She prefers making her character’s work for their happy ever after, if they get one, and she has no problem making sure they endure every obstacle to try to get there. She's known as not having a filter, and if she's asked for an opinion, be prepared to get a response that's most likely a mixture of sarcasm and bluntness.

Marie is the type of person that can be friends with anyone, but if you have cake, you're pretty much her best friend.

Janine Infante Bosco: Janine Infante Bosco lives in New York City, she has always loved reading and writing. When she was thirteen, she began to write her own stories and her passion for writing took off as the years went on. At eighteen, she even wrote a full screenplay with dreams of one day becoming a member of the Screen Actors Guild.

Janine writes emotionally charged novels with an emphasis on family bonds, strong willed female characters, and alpha male men who will do anything for the women they love. She loves to interact with fans and fellow avid romance readers like herself.

She is proud of her success as an author and the friendships she's made in the book community but her greatest accomplishment to date would be her two sons Joseph and Paul.

Derek Adam: Derek is a retired Emergency Medical Professional and has been a lover of telling stories his entire life, having made the transition from “filthy liar” to “sexy author” about the same time silver hairs started showing up in his face (and other places.)

In the early days, he attempted to write science fiction and high fantasy, but discovered it was more fun to write about people touching other people’s tingle-places (smut is cool.) while mixing in action, explosions, and plenty of WTF moments.

He’s also a gamer, gym rat, snow hater (despite living in Michigan), life liver, stunt double for Hulk, and he considers himself to be aggressively unfancy.

Hudson is the sweet country rock star...

🎀🎀Wreckage #4🎀🎀

Vivian Lux

No one can find out about us.

Hudson:
I stumbled into rock stardom and it's given me everything I ever wanted.
Except her.
My bandmate's little sister.

She's off limits. I know this. But I can't stay away.
When I laid her lush body beneath mine, we both swore this was the last time.
Little did I know it was also her first.

Tallula:
My brother knows something is up.
We have to watch our step. We have to be careful.
We have to stop taking these crazy risks.
One wrong move and we lose everything. One single slip up and it's the end of Wreckage...
forever.

𝆕𝆕REVIEW𝆔𝆕

“Every night I play in a haze because I can’t put my heart into the music the way I need to.”
“Why not?” I squeaked
He took a breath, “Because I left it with you.”

Tallula is the younger sister to Niall, bassist for Wreckage.  Hudson is the lead singer of Wreckage and friend to Niall.  See the complication yet?

Hudson fought the pull to Tally for long enough and a week stuck in the same home for her brother’s wedding has pushed him as far as he can go.  The same goes for Tally.  Just once, one last time.  It is never that simple.

I loved, loved sweet Hudson.  He has the sweet country boy attitude that you can’t help but swoon.  He denied his attraction to Tally for the sake of his relationship with the band, namely her brother Niall.  Spending the extra time with Tally has him seeing beyond just how beautiful she is.  Her witty British accent and temperament that is much like the guys of Wreckage but also very proper, English lady like at times.  I love it.  She can be a lady but also put any single one of the guys in their place with one well placed comment.  It is official I want to be Tally.

Their story is not all hearts and rainbows.  There are some real life issues that both Tally and Hudson deal with that are very heartbreaking.  I had to take a moment to breath after reading but I loved how Vivian touched on such a heartbreaking issue.  The way Hudson handled it was very heartwarming and made me want to hug them both.  Overall, this story has a more warming love story than the rest of the guys.  I thought Niall would be the sweet story of all the guys but I think Hudson takes that title.  Don’t get me wrong, the hot factor is still way up!

I am sad to see the end of the guys of Wreckage but hopefully we will see more from them or their family in the future.
