Sweet Crazy Song
The Kings of Crown Creek
Vivian Lux
I'm not Prince Charming, baby. I'm a King.
I’m the country’s hottest rock star.
She's my little sister’s best friend.
I left everybody in the past when I left Crown Creek, and I never want to go back.
Too bad—I have one last obligation to take care of before I can leave this town behind forever.
I’m not planning on running into her in the parking lot.
And now? Now, she’s all grown up. She’s a gorgeous spitfire and I want her the moment I see her.
The only problem? She can’t stand the sight of me...for good reason.
Still—there’s one thing I know.
Even your mortal enemy can become your lover if you sing the right tune...
There is always that hesitancy when you begin a new series. You aren’t familiar with the characters
or the world that they come from but if it is an author you trust, you are all in.
“Talk about romance. You’re a real Prince Charming, you know that?” “I’m not Prince Charming, baby,” he growled as he slammed his lips mine. “I’m a King.”
Jonah King is a pain and that is putting it very nicely. Ruby is a sweet kindergarten teacher. Many
things have changed since they were kids. Jonah went off and became a rock star while Ruby
stayed in their small town and made her own way.
Jonah King is a character that I will say took a lot for me to like. His attitude and ego clouded a lot
that people saw in him. He always said the wrong thing even if the intentions were not as harsh.
His relationship with his brothers was strained but all it took was a push from Ruby to get him in the
right frame of mind. Ruby is a kindergarten teacher so dealing with Jonah’s attitude was nothing
she couldn’t handle and having someone like Ruby was just what Jonah needed.
“You’re amazing and I don’t know why it took me so long to realize it, but I know it for certain now.”
This is an emotional book from page one to the last. You go from low to high in the turn of a page; it
is a roller coaster ride of emotion. A story of finding what you need even if you don’t realize you need it. I believe full heartedly that everything happens for a reason and pieces fall into certain places because that is where they are meant to be. This book screams that. You don’t know what you truly need or where you are suppose to be till it happens. Then, you write your perfect song.
