When a fiery red head shows up bruised, battered and heavily pregnant, Dr. Jason Boone vows to help her get away from whatever she came from. He had no way of knowing how serious the situation was that Daisy came from and what trouble would eventually find her and her son Alex. The softness that he shows to Daisy and her son also has the edge that will do ANYTHING to protect them from harm.
As a fan of the Gods of Chaos series, we know Bones is the son of Doc. A member of the gods and a path that Bones himself has followed along with being an surgeon. Daisy’s life has never been easy but her son Alex is her light and when she met Bones, he is the only kindness she has ever known. She finally slips away from her past and tries at a decent future but when that past finally finds her, Bones brings her to the gods and solid ground.
I loved Bone’s and Daisy’s story. You have the gut wrenching heartbreak of Daisy’s life and the hope that Bones inspires in her. He has a softness to him that is enduring but the hardness that is the biker is there too. It is an amazing combination. The story flows steady and has some very uplifting moments. I am positive there is something for everything in this book.
