Review for Salvaged by Jay Crownover
When it comes to Jay Crownover and her books, Rule was always King for me. Zeb gave him a tough fight but Rule still came out on top. Then Wheeler came along and Rule had to finally take second place.
"Get yourself out of the ditch, Wheeler. There's nothing good down there and all you'll end up doing is spinning your wheels."
Poppy has always tried to be the good girl but all it has done is bring her pain. Wheeler thought he had his whole life figured out until it all broke apart in his hands.
He doesn't know what it is about Poppy Cruz but Hudson Wheel is drawn to her even when he had no right be looking. The complications in his life keep coming and it is something that he is not sure that Poppy would want or could handle with him. Though, Poppy has spent her whole life doing what would please others. Now it is her turn to do what she wants and makes her happy.
Both Poppy and Wheeler have a kindness that is just them. You can feel it as you read in both characters. Their story is an emotional one and if you have read the previous books from Jay, you know what Poppy's past consisted of. When you find that piece that is missing from you soul, there is no way you can ignore it. If you have loved the previous Saint's of Denver, you will love Salvaged MORE. Wheeler is the embodiment of all the guys in one and it will pull you in till you turn the last page.
